,,Hágóbérce" Nature Trail - 8. station - KOLOS

This is one of the most beautiful peaks of the Csík Mountains. It is surrounded by steep valleys and lower ridges. This area is dominated by species-rich meadows with dozens of rare and indigenous species, like the Globe Flower, Narcissus-Flowered Anemone, Transylvanian Vetch, Kotschy`s Knapweed. Surprisingly, on the top we can find Great Burnet and Large Pink, which are typical of peaty soils. There are several springs on the slopes, like the Spring of Kolos. Around these were formed small fens, habitats of the carnivorous Butterwort. In early summer we can hear the Corncrake`s call.
