,,Hágóbérce" Nature Trail - 4. station - RENGŐ

We climb up in a steep forested slope to Bőbérce, from where the road flattens again. This place is named Swing. The road is almost impassable because of the potholes, but the puddles are excellent habitats for amphibians. We can observe at least five species here: Carpathian and Alpine Newt, Common Toad, Common Frog, Yellow-bellied Toad. This area is a favorite place of Hazel Grouse and Red Deer. At the end of this section we arrive to a beautiful subalpine grassland, which was mown regularly a few decades ago. Here we turn to north-west.
